The process begins by creating a green coffee extract, achieved by immersing a small batch of green coffee beans in warm water. This allows the water to extract not only the caffeine molecules but also the flavors, oils, and aromas from the beans. The water is then filtered using carbon filters, which trap the caffeine molecules, leaving behind a rich, flavor-packed green coffee extract without the caffeine.
Next, a new batch of green coffee beans is submerged into this flavorful green coffee extract. As the caffeine is drawn out of the beans and into the water, the rich flavors and oils remain intact due to the saturated nature of the extract. The water is continually filtered, with the decaffeinated water being reintroduced to the beans. This meticulous process is repeated over 8 to 10 hours until the beans are 99.9% caffeine-free.
Thanks to this chemical-free method, this decaf coffee is also organically certified, making it a pure and premium choice for discerning coffee lovers.
